Can I ride or walk/run virtually?

Yes! If you can’t make the ride that day you can still go out and ride or walk/run and donate to the bike ride. You can ‘ride or walk’ as a virtual participant by clicking on the Virtual Ride button. You will get credit on the web page for your donations and efforts.

Donations

How can I donate?

People can donate by clicking the ‘donate’ button. You do not have to ride/walk or run to donate to the help us find a cure for Parkinson’s. Every little bit helps and REMEMBER that 100% of the money raised goes to The Michael J Fox Foundation to enable research of Parkinson’s Disease. We won’t stop until that cure is found!

Voluntering

Can I volunteer for the ride?

Yes. We appreciate your help! Please visit this page to volunteer. We need volunteers to help distribute food, start/finish line, directions for riders, walkers and runners, people at aide stations and also at critical turns on on bike/walk/run routes, set up and take down of the event.

Please help us to find a cure for Parkinson’s. You can also ‘ride or walk’ as a virtual participant by clicking on the Virtual Ride button.

Virtual Riders

Can I join as virtual rider?

VIRTUAL RIDERS/WALKERS AND RUNNERS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY CAN JOIN OUR RIDE FAMILY TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR A CURE!

Our Virtual Rider option is new this year.  We want people that we know who have moved out of the area to be able to participate in our drive to find a cure for Parkinson’s. We want them to remain an integral part of the Ride Family and continue to raise funds toward the cure.  Riding “virtually” allows them to register for a small fee ($10), set up a fundraising page just like those riding in person, and even earn their annual Ride t-shirt when they raise $150.

So whether you are in Southern California or any where in the country or world, for that matter, join our team to fund research for finding a cure for Parkinson’s.  You can even have ‘Spin teams’ from your spin classes to compete with one another or friends who just go out for a leisurely ride. And we have had runners, walkers, pretty much anyone doing anything to help support the cause!

It is also a perfect opportunity for Volunteers, who come out every year rather than ride. This is a perfect option for them to do both!  They support the Ride by helping out at rest stops,  distributing food after the ride, handling parking and traffic, or a host of other activities that are critical to the success of the Ride, and still have the opportunity to share their experience while raising funds toward a cure.

If you would like to Ride Virtually, simply click here to register. Then set up your fundraising page, and do the best you can, no pressure, no minimum fundraising. Just know that 100% of the funds you raise will go directly to research toward a cure!

And remember, if you raise $150 by May 20, 2020, you will receive the SoCal Ride for Parkinson’s t-shirt before the ride. Show your solidarity on ride day! If you raise $150 by the day of the ride you will receive your t-shirt shortly after the ride.
